Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is offering a Summer 2027 Arborist Trainee Internship in Denver, CO. This on-site program provides hands-on experience in tree care, plant health care, sales, and client services as you work with a climbing crew.

Flexible start for Summer 2027, full-time for college students on summer break. Pay rate is $22 per hour, with safety training and opportunities for advancement as you learn pruning, removal, and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Love of outdoors and interest in tree care and plant health care.
• Willingness to learn climbing and field work with safety.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping or related fields preferred.
• Completion of Davey Tree Orientation program and safety trainings upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tree pruning, removal, and related services.
• Learn to climb and work safely as part of a tree crew.
• Operate tools and equipment under supervision; progressive skill development.
• Support in installing cables, bracing, and protection systems.
