Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, seeks a detail-focused professional to oversee vehicle inspections and arbitration processes at our NJ site. This role ensures accuracy across reports, manages the inspection WIP, and resolves differences between buyers and sellers with professional, data-driven judgment.

You will coordinate third-party inspections, uphold safety policies, and maintain records for arbitration outcomes while supporting a fast-paced auction environment with high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous automotive auction, inspection, or mechanical experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements.
• Able to safely drive a variety of makes/models/sizes of vehicles.
• Proficiency with computer systems, mobile inspection tools, and internal inventory databases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality and throughput of vehicle inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.
• Actively manage the WIP (Work-In-Progress) pipeline to ensure vehicles move through inspection and arbitration.
• Resolve differences between buyers and sellers arising from representations on the auction block.
• Conduct hands-on vehicle inspections when needed to verify vehicle condition.
• Serve as a professional point of contact for internal and external customers regarding arbitration transactions and dispute resolution.
• Understand and enforce the auction’s arbitration policies, NAAA guidelines, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Coordinate third-party inspections as required and maintain accurate records for all arbitrated units.
• Maintain precise records of arbitration outcomes and provide status updates to leadership.
• Ensure all company policies and safety laws are followed at all times.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
