Job summary

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an attorney with 3 to 7 years of litigation experience to join the Litigation Department in one of our Florida office locations as Special Counsel. This full-time, non-partner track position supports the Construction Practice Group on single family housing matters.

The role involves handling a high volume of matters, with autonomy in an office setting. Ideal candidates will have strong legal research and writing skills, discovery experience, and some deposition and

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience conducting discovery, drafting motions, and arguing motions in court.
• Some deposition and some trial experience.
• Mediation, arbitration, and litigation of insurance, construction and design defect claims preferred.
• Proven track record in settling cases.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience managing a team of paralegals and support staff is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of matters with autonomy.
• Support Foley's Construction Practice Group on single family housing matters.
• Arbitrate cases when appropriate; manage matters in arbitration rather than circuit court.
• Contribute to case strategy and settlement discussions.
