Qualifications

• Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations: four-year degree plus 4+ years; two years of college plus 6+ years; or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous management or team lead experience is required.
• Practical experience in Accounts Receivable operations including financial research, reconciliations, and collections.
• Understanding of General Ledger accounting and how financial transactions affect balances.
• Ability to coordinate work, guide team members, and ensure timely operational completion.
• Must qualify to obtain Secret Security clearance (doD/State).
• Experience with accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial reports to research discrepancies and support operations.
• Ability to mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Knowledge of government accounting principles and reporting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze accounting transactions, verify interfaces, research discrepancies, and post corrective entries.
• Perform General Ledger reconciliations and support financial reporting.
• Maintain AR records in GFMS and resolve rejected transactions.
• Manage an AR portfolio, monitor accounts, conduct research, reconcile, and handle inquiries.
• Provide guidance to team members on complex accounts and escalated collections.
• Research aged debts and coordinate with relevant personnel on write-offs.
• Process collections through Pay.gov and handle refunds and IPAC-related tasks.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and prepare reports on portfolio performance.
• Deliver timely customer service via phone and email and escalate when needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure documentation is uploaded to the DIS.
• Generate GB I reports to evaluate trends and identify improvements.
• Protect PII and comply with internal controls and ISO requirements.
• Respond to documentation requests per security and privacy requirements.
