Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking an AR Specialist to manage invoice inquiries, payments, and account discrepancies. You will handle payments, reconciliations, and adjustments in SAP, while supporting AR aging analytics and cross-functional collaboration with finance and order processing teams.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s in finance/accounting preferred), and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• Years of Experience: 2+ years of experience required.
• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SAP or similar ERP systems required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls and email inquiries from customers and distributors regarding invoice questions, payment status, and account discrepancies with supporting documentation.
• Monitor open accounts and proactively follow up with customers and distributors to ensure timely payment and issue statements/reminders.
• Apply payments to customer accounts with accuracy and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash entries; coordinate with internal teams for proper allocation and reconciliation.
• Perform account adjustments in SAP, including dispute resolution entries and tax credit processing for financed accounts; maintain audit trails.
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure payments posted correctly and address discrepancies; investigate variances with relevant departments.
• Support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and contributing to SAP enhancements; assist with testing and implementation.
• Serve as a point of contact for the Financial Shared Services team and AR administrators; provide guidance and training on AR procedures.
• Compile and analyze AR Aging metrics to support internal reporting and share findings with finance.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align with finance, order processing, and customer service; collaborate on issue resolution.
• Perform other duties and special projects to support departmental goals.
