Job summary

Encore Fire Protection, the East Coast’s largest full-service fire protection company, is seeking a Billing Customer Service Specialist to help customers understand invoices and resolve past-due accounts. You’ll be the friendly voice guiding payment arrangements while keeping accounts accurate in our CRM systems.

You will work in a fast-paced environment handling high call volumes, with training provided on our systems and industry specifics.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or a call center environment.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Accurate data entry and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Collect past-due balances by phone and email to follow up on overdue invoices.
• Resolve billing questions and disputes by researching invoice discrepancies and explaining charges clearly.
• Set up payment arrangements and negotiate payment plans.
• Manage accounts receivable by prioritizing risk and balance and elevating delinquent accounts.
• Keep clean records by documenting every customer interaction and account update in billing/CRM systems.
• Partner across Operations, Sales, and branches to resolve service and invoicing issues.
