Job summary

Front Row is seeking a Senior AR & Payroll Specialist in New York City to manage AR, payroll accounting, and general accounting responsibilities across multiple entities. You will work closely with HR, payroll providers, and the Finance team to ensure accurate receivables, timely payroll postings, and reconciliations.

The role requires 4+ years of accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with NetSuite and Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience with exposure to AR and payroll accounting.
• Experience with AR activities including billing, cash application, collections, aging analysis and reconciliation.
• Experience managing payroll accounting, reconciliations, and payroll‑related journal entries.
• ERP systems experience; NetSuite preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounts receivable across multiple entities and customer accounts.
• Prepare and issue invoices, credit memos and related billing documents.
• Review customer accounts for accuracy and post in correct periods.
• Monitor aging, follow up on overdue balances, and resolve disputes.
• Coordinate payroll accounting across entities with HR and providers.
• Record payroll journals, reconcile payroll liabilities and benefits accounts.
• Support month‑end close with AR reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare financial reporting and assist external audits and taxes.
