Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience in AR, billing, collections, accounting or related financial position.
• Experience managing AR functions or financial operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience reconciling accounts and researching discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional communication with customers, staff and internal departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day accounts receivable and billing operations.
• Managing student account balances, payments, adjustments and transactions.
• Monitoring outstanding AR balances.
• Coordinating and overseeing collection efforts.
• Processing and overseeing student refunds.
• Managing payment plans and related activity.
• Reconciling accounts and researching discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Monitoring accounts for accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Assisting with internal financial controls and reporting.
• Working with students, staff, and departments to resolve billing questions.
• Helping develop and improve billing, collection and AR procedures.
• Maintaining confidentiality of financial and student information.
• Providing guidance to departmental staff as needed.
