Privia Health is seeking a Medical Claims Specialist (AR Manager) for a hybrid in-office role in Houston. The position requires 5+ years of medical claims experience in a physician billing office, strong Excel and EMR familiarity, and ability to work both remotely and on-site.

The role offers an hourly pay range of $24–$26, with a target annual bonus of 10% based on performance, plus standard benefits. Strong communication and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Formación

• 5+ years medical claims experience in a physician medical billing office.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sort/filtering, formulas).
• Must understand Explanation of Benefit (EOB) statements.
• Google Suite experience preferred.
• Athena EMR experience preferred.
• Must provide accessibility to private, quiet work space with high-speed internet to effectively work remotely for days not in the office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to train and mentor other team members.
• HIPAA compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Denial management—investigating denial sources, resolving and appealing denials with payer representatives.
• Decide on claim adjustments, resubmission, appeals, and other claim resolution techniques.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Performance, Operations, Sales) and care center staff as appropriate.
• Support Revenue Optimization team to ensure reimbursements align with payer contracts.
• Work with practice consultants or physicians to optimize revenue cycle functionality.
• Aim to achieve the department's daily and monthly KPIs with a team-focused approach.
• Other duties as assigned.
