Job summary

Privia Health is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims and to address daily correspondence from physician practices. The role includes reviewing and appealing denials and following up on aged claims, with travel as needed.

Under supervision of the Revenue Cycle Management Director, you will lead AR management, denial analysis, and cross-team collaboration to optimize reimbursement aligned with payer contracts; this position requires independent

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• 3+ years of medical billing or equivalent claims experience.
• Must understand drivers of revenue cycle performance and resolve complex claims.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sorting/filters, formulas).
• Experience with athenaHealth and/or athenaOne preferred.
• HIPAA compliance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR and analyze aged AR; identify root causes and suggest edits to reduce errors.
• Handle denial management: investigate, resolve, and appeal denials with payers.
• Make independent decisions on claim adjustments, resubmission, and other resolutions.
• Collaborate with Performance, Operations, Sales and care center staff as needed.
• Support large care center go-lives; may require overnight travel.
• Coordinate with Revenue Optimization; perform denial analysis using Trizetto.
• Work with practice consultants or physicians to optimize revenue cycle functionality.
• Drive achievement of daily and monthly KPIs; perform other duties as assigned.
