Job summary

Soules Foods, a Tyler, TX-based leading national producer of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook chicken and beef products, seeks an Accounts Receivable Manager. You will lead the AR team, own billing support, cash application, credit, collections, and customer deductions, and partner with Sales, Customer Service, Trade Marketing, and Treasury.

You will drive cash flow, standardize AR processes, and implement automated tools while ensuring compliance and month-end close accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business.
• 5+ years of accounts receivable, credit, or collections.
• 2+ years supervising or leading a team.
• Strong cash application, credit analysis, collections, and month-end AR reconciliations.
• Experience managing customer deductions and disputes.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP system.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate AR staff; set clear priorities.
• Assign customer portfolios and balance workloads across the team.
• Maintain written desk procedures for every AR process.
• Serve as escalation point for complex customer, billing, and dispute issues.
• Oversee accurate invoicing, credit memos, and rebills including EDI invoices.
• Ensure daily cash receipts are applied accurately and on time.
• Resolve unapplied cash and on-account balances promptly.
• Own approval and business decisions on new customers and changes to terms.
• Apply credit policy to new/existing customers; review financials.
• Approve credit limits and terms within authority; route to Data Compliance for setup.
• Manage order holds and releases with CS and Sales; monitor credit risk.
• Lead collections strategy; drive down DSO and past-due balances.
• Oversee research of deductions and disputes; coordinate with Trade Marketing.
