Job summary

EFG Company in Irving, TX seeks a Manager, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable to lead the AR and AP teams and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of end-to-end cash management.

The role oversees billing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls, while developing a high-performing team and managing the 1099 process.

Experience with GAAP and ERP systems (NetSuite or Dynamics GP) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with AR/AP focus.
• 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting software.
• Experience with NetSuite or Dynamics GP and/or AS400 systems; 1099 filing preferred.
• Strong computer and business software skills, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting functions.
• Supports month-end close by preparing AR/AP reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Addresses performance issues and partners with Human Resources on personnel actions.
• Motivates and develops team members, including salary actions within budgets.
• Manages vendor payment runs and ensures compliance with policies and terms.
• Oversees billing, collections, and cash application; monitors aging and reduces past-due balances.
• Maintains internal controls over AR and AP and supports audits; oversees 1099 reporting.
• Identifies process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
