Job summary

Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) seeks an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager in Birmingham, AL to oversee the AR function, manage invoicing and cash application, and drive timely collections.

Lead and mentor the AR team, implement collection strategies, reconcile aging, and support month-end close while collaborating with Sales, Operations and Accounting to improve processes and KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounts receivable function and ensure accurate and timely processing
• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounts receivable team
• Establish and monitor collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce past-due balances
• Review and manage the accounts receivable aging report
• Oversee customer invoicing, cash application, account reconciliations, credits, and adjustments
• Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances
• Escalate and resolve complex billing, payment, and account discrepancies
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers regarding account and payment issues
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve billing and collection issues
• Monitor accounts receivable KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, controls, and efficiencies
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls related to accounts receivable
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of AR subledger to the general ledger
• Support internal and external audits as needed
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned

Accounts Receivable Manager

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Schedule: Monday-Friday

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the company's accounts receivable operations and ensure the timely and accurate collection of customer payments. This role will manage the full AR cycle, including invoicing, cash application, collections, account reconciliations, and aging management.

Key Responsibilities

• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
