Job summary

Avita Health System in Crestline, Ohio, is seeking an AR Follow Up Hospital Representative to join the Patient Financial Services Department. This role reviews outstanding accounts, resolves payment issues, and collaborates with the Billing Coordinator to ensure correct initial claim submission.

Qualified candidates will have HIPAA/compliance knowledge and familiarity with payer rules; a relevant associate degree and professional certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiar with HIPAA, Medicare Secondary Payer, ABN rules and related billing compliance.
• Knowledge of AHS managed care payer rules.
• Previous hospital billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews outstanding accounts for assigned payer and resolves issues delaying payment, including appealing denials.
• Works with Billing Coordinator to ensure initial claims are submitted correctly.
• Responds to inquiries related to hospital claims and account processing.
