Qualifications

• Fully knowledgeable about regulatory compliance including HIPAA and billing codes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of third-party billing procedures.
• Strong analytical skills for claims review.

Responsibilities

• Review outstanding accounts for assigned payer and resolve payment issues.
• Work closely with the Billing Coordinator to assure correct claims submissions.
• Respond to inquiries about hospital claims and account processing.

Skills

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Understanding of AHS managed care payer rules

Hospital billing experience

Education

Associate degree or in process of obtaining

AAHAM or HFMA certification
