Job summary

Atlanta Fork Lifts, Inc. is seeking a Collection Specialist in Suwanee, GA to manage past-due accounts, perform account research and provide customer service for internal and external customers. You will support the Accounts Receivable Department and back up the AR Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 years of accounts receivable and general accounting experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Review delinquent account records and determine which customers must be contacted for collection.
• Organize workload according to degree and amount of delinquency for collection.
• Verify accuracy of account information.
• Prepare and refer accounts to manager for final collection efforts.
• Provide professional and prompt customer service to all external and internal customers.
• Research payment records to resolve disputes and notify appropriate departments of errors to be corrected.
• Account maintenance including address changes and modifications in the system.
• Run credit card payments and send receipts to customers as required.
• Special customer billing as needed.
• Reprint andfax or email copies of invoices on request.
• Research returned mail and correct address information.
• Forward adjustments to AR Manager with necessary backup.
• Assist Receptionist with phone and front desk as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
