Job summary

The Odom Corporation is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of accounts and drive timely payments in accordance with company guidelines. This role can be based in either Vancouver, WA or Boise, ID, with a typical in-office schedule five days a week.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent; or 1+ years related experience or training.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); basic knowledge of Adobe, Teams, SharePoint.
• Experience with large-volume deduction management and/or account reconciliation preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to learn ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily collection and reconciliation for a portfolio of accounts within corporate guidelines.
• Ensure customers follow payment terms that vary per state or invoice type.
• Maintain current, detailed communication efforts daily.
• Work with customers and internal teams to identify invoice issues.
• Review accounts with credit limit restrictions or seasonal barge shipments.
• Streamline actions needed to ensure accounts comply with guidelines.
• Maintain and update account information: contacts, titles, phones, emails, credit applications.
• Review new accounts and verify information from customers; including legal documents, licensing and permits by state.
• Assist the customer service line and inbox daily.
• Escalate concerns to AR Supervisor or Credit Manager for prompt attention.
• Prepare and support weekly or monthly statements to customers.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned by Credit Manager and Collections Supervisor.
