Job summary

Brighton Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for a 3-6 month contract assignment. The role focuses on AR, billing, and commercial collections, using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and GP to manage customer accounts and processing.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a proven track record in fast-paced accounting environments. Onsite work near Tinley Park, IL during standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, and commercial collections.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, GP, or comparable ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices daily using Dynamics.
• Process billing transactions and assist with special billing requests.
• Review aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and maintain collection efforts.
• Research customer deductions and pursue reimbursement when deductions are invalid.
• Maintain customer account records within Dynamics 365 and GP.
• Process credit/debit memos and supporting documentation.
• Receive and apply customer payments; prepare deposits.
• Organize and maintain tax exemption documentation.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties.
