Job summary

ArcBest Corporation seeks an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to manage daily balances for customers, identify delinquent payments, and drive collection efforts. You will analyze past-due accounts, resolve billing disputes, and communicate with customers to improve cash flow while delivering excellent service.

This is an hourly, biweekly-paid role based in Fort Smith, Arkansas, with typical hours of 8:00 am–5:00 pm and minimal travel. Join a team focused on accuracy and customer care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Business emphasis preferred.
• Prior finance, billing, accounting, or relevant experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve past due issues, billing disputes, misapplied payments, and other requests to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Determine root cause of late payments and implement solutions to prevent future issues.
• Provide high level customer service for internal and external customers.
• Apply knowledge of individual customer accounts to handle inquiries efficiently.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a high-intensity environment.
• Develop relationships to increase revenue growth and customer experience.
• Improve quality, productivity, and effectiveness through process improvements for past due balances.
• Collaborate in a team setting to meet department and individual goals.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
