Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting works with a fast-growing, private-equity-backed consumer goods company seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the accounting team in Newton, MA. The role features a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, Mon–Thu) and the chance to impact cash flow and collections.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and large retail customers.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly customer billings.
• Maintain AR aging and lead collections efforts.
• Post and apply daily cash receipts.
• Analyze and process trade deduction adjustments including discounts, rebates, and coupons.
• Handle slotting fees, damaged/short goods, and operational chargebacks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve AR processes.

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Newton, MA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, Mon–Thurs)

Overview

A fast-growing, private-equity–backed consumer packaged goods (CPG) company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will join a strong team and have the opportunity to make an immediate impact.

Compensation

• Base salary: $55,000–$65,000

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly customer billings
• Maintain accounts receivable aging and lead collections efforts
• Post and apply daily cash receipts
• Analyze and process trade deduction adjustments, including:
• Trade promotions and allowances (discounts, rebates, coupons)
• Slotting fees
• Damaged or short goods
• Operational chargebacks (delivery issues, compliance penalties)
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and improve AR processes

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience supporting companies with manufacturing and large retail customers
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment
