Job summary

Rentals To Go, based in Norwich, NY, is seeking a Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage invoicing, collections, and records while providing exceptional customer service. The role requires handling payments, reconciliations, and reporting within a busy portable sanitation business environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in billing/AR, strong Excel and QuickBooks skills, and excellent communication. Benefits include health coverage, 401k match, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, preferably in portable sanitation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Generate and send out customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are received within established terms.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies with customers/banks.
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and coordinate with customers to secure payment.
• Process credit card payments, checks, and other forms of payment.
• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to address billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the accounting system.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Generate AR and cash reports and summarize key trends for management.
