Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, a family-owned transportation and distribution company since 1924, is seeking an AR Auditor to support billing accuracy and collections within the AR team.

The role involves reviewing daily shipments against credit criteria, updating customer records, distributing reports, and coordinating with Sales, Pricing and AR to ensure proper billing and timely cash flow. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience in Billing, Collections or Customer Service.
• Proficiency in Direct Bill & Freight Payment collections for proper understanding of Customer billing requirements.
• Strong analytical and time management skills.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review shipments not meeting approved credit criteria and link accounts to valid accounts.
• Distribute the Driver Collect report to the team upon audit completion.
• Arrange advance payment for customers not meeting credit criteria.
• Advise AR Representative of bad credit shipments needing attention.
• Contact customers for proper billing instructions and shipment terms verification.
• Evaluate credit worthiness of new and existing accounts by reviewing payment trends and credit reports.
• Update the customer masterfile and document notes in the system.
• Communicate with the Partner Carrier when a billing discrepancy exists on an interline shipment.
• Follow up to resolve discrepancies prior to shipment completion.
• Update the customer masterfile per information from Sales, Pricing, Customers and AR.
• Work with AR and Billing Leadership to set up customer-specific audits.
• Scan pertinent billing information into AR files.
• Monitor incoming correspondence from internal and external customers and direct accordingly.
• Interact with multiple internal teams to research and resolve customer issues.
• Assist AR Leadership with reporting, projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
