Job summary

Calibration Technologies seeks an experienced financial clerk to manage AR/AP responsibilities and support ERP systems. You will post payments, monitor balances, prepare invoices, and assist in monthly closings.

The role requires accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with the Accounting team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing of transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Itemized experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable or bookkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to research issues and resolve discrepancies.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and accounts receivable transactions.
• Create and submit customer invoices according to company practices.
• Monitor outstanding customer accounts and follow up on past-due balances.
• Draft standard past-due correspondence and contact customers to request payment.
• Research customer discrepancies and resolve past-due account questions.
• Prepare reports regarding the status of customer accounts.
• Assist with periodic accounts receivable reconciliations.
• Assist with generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
• Collect and maintain customer tax-exempt documentation.
• Maintain customer information within Avalara and other applicable systems.
• Process credit card transactions and check deposits and post cash receipts.
• Maintain customer information in the ERP system and payment portals.
• Assist with other cash receipt and billing activities as needed.
• Verify invoices in accounts payable and ensure timely payments.
• Organize and maintain vendor invoices and documentation.
• Follow up with vendors regarding invoices and payment questions.
• Prepare weekly AP reports and processing of payment runs.
• Support administration of corporate credit card program.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support accounting projects.
