Job summary

City of Davis is seeking a journey-level Aquatics Facility Maintenance Worker to perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks in pool maintenance, water chemistry, and related repairs. Under supervision, you will keep aquatic facilities safe, clean, and operational.

You will maintain pumps, filtration, chemical feed systems, perform water testing, record keeping, and respond to service requests. Requires driving, basic building and grounds tasks, and adherence to safety codes.

Qualifications

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, with specialized aquatics facility training.
Three years of increasingly responsible aquatics facility maintenance experience.
Valid California Driver’s License; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications preferred.
Knowledge of pool water testing, chemical treatments, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform full range of aquatics maintenance, including pool systems, pumps, and water treatment.
Test water chemistry, adjust chemicals, and monitor safety and sanitization levels.
Inspect and repair pumps, filters, and related equipment; perform minor electrical/plumbing work.
Drive vehicles to transport materials and respond to service calls; maintain records and inventories.
