Overview

Position: Kroc Aquatics Supervisor

Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PA

Availability: Immediate

Schedule: Full Time. Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as required to support the ongoing operations of the Kroc Center.

Reporting Relationship: Kroc Aquatics Manager

Salary: $21.00

Grade: 76

Responsibilities

The Kroc Aquatics Supervisor (KAS) will work with the Kroc Aquatics Manager to ensure the successful operation of the aquatics department. Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing daily staffing and operations
• Developing and delivering swim lessons for all ages and abilities
• Managing pool area use and safety
• Providing continuing education (e.g., CPR/AED, WSI certification) for the public
• Coordinating class exercise offerings with the fitness department
• Maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and pool maintenance
• Preparing for inspections and licensing
• Working with leadership to set departmental plans and financial goals for ancillary services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports, Recreation Management, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in aquatic program development and execution
• Willingness to work nontraditional hours
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• Excellent communication, management, and leadership skills
• Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and WSI certifications
• Completion of PA State Mandatory Reporter Course
• Child protection clearances as per PA Act 153
• Understanding and appreciation of The Salvation Army's mission
