Job summary

The Lincoln YMCA is seeking an Assistant Aquatics Director to help lead aquatic programming, ensure a safe swim environment, and coach staff. The role focuses on developing swim lessons, scheduling pool activities, and coordinating events to support community health and wellness goals.

You will supervise lifeguards and instructors, monitor safety compliance, and contribute to program growth while partnering with parents, schools, and community groups.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises aquatics program activities including operation of indoor/outdoor pools.
• Develops, oversees and schedules open swim, lessons, rentals, adult swim, lap swim, teams and events.
• Monitors pool operations to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Maintains records of pool chemical levels and staff certifications.
• Conducts lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR trainings.
• Lifeguards or teaches classes as needed.
• Communicates with participants and partners to implement action plans.
