YMCA is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to manage the Aquatics department, develop member relationships, and grow programs. You will supervise lifeguards and instructors, schedule classes, and ensure safety and quality in all aquatic activities.

The role emphasizes training staff, maintaining equipment, and promoting YMCA programs within the community while aligning with our Christian mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience in lifeguarding, swim lessons, and water aerobics/group exercise.
• Current certifications for lifeguarding, swim lesson instruction, and water aerobics instruction; willingness to obtain CPO.

Responsabilités

• Manage operations and programs of the Aquatics department, improving member relationships and retention.
• Employ, train, and supervise staff (lifeguards, instructors) within approved budget.
• Schedule staff and conduct monthly in-service trainings for lifeguards and instructors.
• Ensure safety by following YMCA guidelines and proper class conduct, equipment, and space management.
• Report equipment issues and follow emergency procedures; participate in staff meetings and events.
• Promote YMCA programming and community involvement; maintain professional communications.
