Qualifications

• Team Leader Certification from Y-USA (or actively pursuing)
• Must acquire and maintain Ellis LG & LGI, ARC WSI/WSIT, Vanguard Aquatics Supervisor Training within required timelines
• Minimum of 3–5 years of related work experience; supervisory experience preferred
• Must be physically able to teach aquatic lessons and lift an adult male from pool to pool deck
• Complete program specific and employee orientation training by required timeline

Responsibilities

• Lead Exceptional Aquatics Programs: ensure safety, engagement, and YMCA standards
• Champion water safety through swim testing, education, and community outreach
• Recruit, train, and mentor lifeguards and aquatics staff
• Oversee scheduling, certifications, and essential documentation
• Support emergency preparedness and ensure staff are rescue-ready
• Be a Community Champion by promoting programs and collaborating with partners
