Butler YMCA is seeking an Aquatic Coordinator to oversee daily programs, lifeguarding, and swim instruction. You will ensure leadership presence during peak swimmer volume and support YMCA goals for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The role requires a minimum 3 years in aquatics, strong communication, and relevant lifeguard certifications. Daytime and evening shifts are possible with a focus on safety and member service.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in aquatics required.
• Minimum age of 21 required.
• American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification including CPR for the Professional Rescuer/First Aid/AED required.
• LGI Lifeguard Certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Cover lifeguarding and swim instruction when shifts are not filled.
• Perform as Head Lifeguard on duty.
• Interview, hire, train, and supervise staff.
• Monitor pool operations to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain pool logs and report maintenance needs.
• Create maintenance schedules and train staff on cleaning equipment.
• Ensure staff certifications are current and complete.
• Review staff performance and provide feedback.
• Coordinate payroll-related forms with HR.
• Communicate pool closures to supervisor and front desk.
• Provide quality member service and assist members.
• Respond to member inquiries and resolve concerns.
