Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is seeking an Aquatics Operations Coordinator to keep our pool facilities safe, compliant, and well-maintained. You will oversee daily operations, supervise lifeguard staff, train certifications, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards, delivering exceptional member service.

The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, plus the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years as lifeguard and pool operator.
• Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor, First Aid, CPO, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications required (LGIT preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and community members.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to complete additional training as required.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment with constant mobility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day aquatic facility operations and maintenance.
• Maintain continuous pool surveillance and respond to emergencies.
• Inspect pools and surroundings for unsafe conditions and report them.
• Test and adjust water chemistry; read gauges and meters.
• Manage filtration and recirculation systems and logs.
• Ensure proper handling of pool chemicals per safety regulations.
• Enforce facility rules and safety policies.
