Job summary

The City of Baltimore seeks an Aquatic Center Director to lead development and coordination of aquatics and recreation programs. You will supervise full- and part-time staff and help drive community engagement through safe, high-quality facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, recreation administration, physical education, or related field.
• Two years of experience in lifeguard, pool operation, pool management or aquatic training.
• Equivalency Notes: Equivalency with education and experience.
• Must hold and maintain American Red Cross certificates: Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, Certified Pool Operator.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement aquatics and recreation programs.
• Supervise full-time and part-time aquatic and recreation staff.
• Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and grant administration for programs.
• Ensure safety, excellent customer service, and positive program outcomes.
