Job description

Midtown is looking for an Aquatics Manager to lead our world-class Aquatics team.

As an integral part of the leadership team, our Aquatics Managers inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:

1. Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism
2. Engaging more members in more programs and with more coaches
3. Committing to Gain, Train, and Retain world-class aquatics talent
4. Developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience
5. Monitoring aquatics associates' development and career pathway
6. Developing, delivering, and measuring aquatics programs
7. Conducting annual talent reviews of aquatics associates
8. Overseeing the annual aquatics budget

Our Aquatics Managers:

1. Have two or more years of management, talent development, and programming experience
2. Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills
3. Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: AFO or equivalent, CPR/AED, First Aid
4. Possess the ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic
5. Possess the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
6. Have collaborative team-building and performance management capabilities

This is a salaried role with an annual compensation of $45k-$50k dependent on experience and certifications. Additional hourly compensation of $20-$24 may be earned as an Aquatics coach for our swim program.
