Qualifications

Description

The Aquatics Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality of staff and of Parrot Cove Indoor Water Park aquatic areas. The Aquatics Manager is expected to know and be able to demonstrate correct techniques of lifeguarding, first aid, CPR, and AED, as well as hold facility staff to the Star Guard and facility standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform surveillance of patrons in the aquatic facility and within assigned zone.
  • Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of patrons.
  • Ensure aquatics staff are following the policies and protocols of Parrot Cove Indoor Water Park.
  • Orient new aquatics staff.
  • Respond and provide care to patrons as needed in the water and on land.
  • Ability to focus while standing or sitting for long periods of time.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the aquatic facility.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Provide superior customer service.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Testing and recording of chemicals.
  • Hire and train staff.
  • Assist in planning and leading in-service training for aquatics staff.
  • Create employee schedules.
  • Complete daily records.
  • Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Additional duties as requested.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 2 years of lifeguard experience
  • Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate
  • Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of chemical testing and record keeping procedures
  • Star Guard Certification
