The Aquatic Manager reports to the Aquatics Supervisor or Vice President of Operations and is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, safety, and quality of service at the assigned property. This role involves supervising the operations of the pools, including planning, coordinating, scheduling, supporting, and evaluating various programs related to the aquatics area within the facility. The Supervisor is expected to work an average of 20-25 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
The Aquatics Supervisor oversees the smooth operation of pool facilities under the general supervision of the Area Manager. Responsibilities include enforcing policies and procedures, managing and training personnel, and overseeing all swimming pool operations such as first aid, rotations, staff scheduling, public relations, janitorial duties, and limited pool maintenance, including cleaning. Excellent organizational, communication, and public relations skills are necessary. The Supervisor works weekdays, weekends, and holidays, fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive work environment for employees, clients, and users of the aquatic facility. This position directly supervises the Assistant Aquatic Manager/Supervisors, Head Guard/Swim Lesson Supervisor, Lifeguards/Swim Instructors, and other CELTS staff such as Pool operations, cashiers, aides, etc. The Aquatic Supervisor is the day-to-day contact for all official CELTS programs, services, and rentals within the facility, requiring proficiency with CELTS internal operating systems for rentals, registrations, and cash register systems.
