Socket.dev in Long Beach, CA is seeking a dynamic Aquatics Facility Manager to oversee two municipal aquatic centers. You will manage budgets, daily operations, swim programs, lifeguards, instructors, and customer service staff while ensuring safety and an enjoyable experience for all visitors.

You will coordinate with city partners, plan events, promote year-round activities and drowning prevention, and ensure compliance with city and state regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor Certification required.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to make decisions, meet targets and work under pressure.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Aquatics industry.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage facility budget.

  • Manage inventory for concessions and merchandise.
  • Keep facility compliant with all City and State requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of guests, program participants, and team members.
  • Maintain the aquatic center website.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

$26.50 - $30.00/hour

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly experienced individual to join our team as an Aquatics Facility Manager. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of managing and operating two aquatic facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety and creating an enjoyable environment for all patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Create and manage facility budget

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Instructor Certification
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to make decisions, meet targets and work under pressure
  • A sense of urgency, comfort with ambiguity, drive for results and ability to remain true to the company’s purpose
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Aquatics industry
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish
