Job summary

Villa Sport in San Jose seeks an Aquatics Director to lead the aquatics team and manage operations of a large indoor and outdoor center featuring five pools, water slides, and a full programming calendar. The role includes hiring, scheduling and training staff, and driving annual budgeting and strategic planning for the aquatics department.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication, and a solid background in aquatics programming and safety, with First Aid/ CPR

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current successful aquatics industry program and operational trends.
• Knowledge of standard anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Two years of management/supervisory experience in a similar aquatics department.
• First Aid/CPR certifications required prior to hire date; CPR and First Aid Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the aquatics team of lifeguards and instructors.
• Oversee operations of a large indoor/outdoor aquatics center with five pools and water park features.
• Develop annual budget and strategic plan for the aquatics department; calendar of programs and events.
• Hire, schedule, and train staff; ensure high-quality customer service and safety standards.
