Job summary

Villa Sport is seeking an Aquatics Director to lead the lifeguard and instructor teams and manage operations for a large indoor/outdoor aquatics center. You will hire, schedule, train staff, and develop annual budgets while shaping a rich calendar of lessons, teams, and events.

Requires leadership experience in aquatics, First Aid/CPR, and Water Safety Instructor certification, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Competitive pay and benefits listed in job posting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current aquatics program and operational trends.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Minimum two years of management/supervisory experience in aquatics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent physical condition; able to demonstrate all swim strokes and lifesaving techniques.
• Minimum two years of college education; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certifications required prior to hire date.
• CPR and First Aid Instructor certification preferred.
• Must be certified as Water Safety Instructor or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the aquatics team of lifeguards and instructors.
• Oversee operations of a large indoor/outdoor aquatics center with five pools and water features.
• Develop annual budget and strategic plan for aquatics.
• Hire, schedule, and train aquatics staff.
• Coordinate aquatics programming calendar and events.
