Job summary

Villa Sport seeks an Aquatics Director to lead a team of lifeguards and instructors, overseeing a large indoor/outdoor aquatics center with multiple pools and water features. You will hire and train staff, manage a budget, and shape the annual program calendar.

The role requires strong supervision, strategic planning, and a commitment to safety and exceptional customer service within a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current aquatics industry programs and operational trends.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Strong background in the aquatics and fitness industry.
• Minimum two years of management/supervisory experience in a similar aquatics department.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent physical condition; able to demonstrate all swim strokes and lifesaving techniques.
• CPR and First Aid Instructor certifications preferred.
• Must be certified as Water Safety Instructor or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Hire, schedule, and train all aquatics staff.
• Develop an annual budget and strategic plan for the aquatics department.
• Help develop the aquatics program calendar.
• Run the Aquatics Department with minimal supervision.
