The YMCA seeks an Aquatic Director to lead the development and implementation of safe, high-quality water programs for members and guests. You will oversee swimming lessons, lifeguard coverage, and specialty aquatic programs, while ensuring strong CPR/First-Aid/Lifeguard training for staff.
Responsibilities include staff recruitment, training, and development of volunteers, plus enforcing safety policies and emergency procedures across the aquatic team.
The Aquatic Director is responsible for the development and implementation of safe, quality programs for members and guests. This includes coordination and supervision of swimming lessons, lifeguard/open swimming, specialty aquatic programs, and CPR/First-Aid/Lifeguard training. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of an Associate's degree or three years related experience. Current lifeguard certification is required, and experience in recruitment, training, and development of staff and volunteers.
