Job summary

Cameron County is seeking an Aquatic Technician to maintain county pools and splash pads. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, water testing, chemical balancing, and routine cleaning under the supervision of the Community Parks Foreman.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, at least two years as a maintenance technician, a valid Texas driver's license, and a Certified Pool Operator or ability to obtain certification within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
• Certified Pool Operator or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Daily operations and maintenance of Community Parks pools and splash pads.
• Maintain restrooms and deck areas; perform cleaning as needed.
• Test and balance pool water chemical levels for safety and health.
• Perform related duties such as mowing and custodial tasks; report status to supervision.
