Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking an Aquatic Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair pools, waterparks, spraygrounds and other aquatic facilities. You will ensure safe operation, perform routine and emergency repairs, and maintain water quality per health standards.

Two years of aquatic facility maintenance experience, a Texas Class C license, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions are required. Certification in pool operation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience in the maintenance and repair of aquatic facilities.
• Must have a Texas Class C driver’s license.
• Preferred: Certified Pool Operator Certification or Aquatic Facility Operator Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency repair and maintenance of pumps, motors, chemical feeders, controllers, autofill systems, backwash filters, pool surfaces, waterslides, play structures, and other pool equipment.
• Maintains water chemistry and clarity by testing and adjusting chemicals to meet state and local health standards.
• Follows safety guidelines for handling pool chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Maintains pool masonry and related features to ensure patron safety and attractive facilities.
• Inspects and troubleshoots water circulation and filtration systems to identify defects.
• Repairs pool amenities including ladders, lifeguard stands, climbing walls, diving boards, water slides and play features.
• Performs winterization and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Completes inspection checklists and required documentation.
