Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking an Aquatic Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain aquatic facilities including pools, waterparks, and spray features, ensuring safe operation and compliance with health standards. Must perform routine and emergency maintenance, manage water chemistry, and follow safety guidelines for handling chemicals.

This role requires physical work outdoors in varying temperatures and may involve weekends or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of experience in maintenance/repair of aquatic facilities.
• Texas Class C driver’s license required.
• Preferred: Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repair/maintenance of pumps, motors, chemical feeders, and pool equipment.
• Maintain safe water chemistry and conduct tests to meet state/local health standards.
• Handle and store pool chemicals per safety guidelines.
• Maintain pool masonry, decks, and related features for safety and appearance.
• Inspect and troubleshoot water circulation and filtration systems.
