Job summary

Nueces County is seeking an experienced Pool Technician to perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on commercial pools and splash pads. The role requires hands-on work with pumps, filters, heaters and controllers, along with accurate water chemistry balancing.

You will inspect equipment, perform repairs, deliver chemicals, and coordinate projects while maintaining records and ensuring health and safety compliance. Strong communication and dependability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of experience in commercial pool maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of commercial pool systems, equipment, and water chemistry.
• Familiarity with local health and safety regulations for pools.
• Ability to diagnose and repair common pool equipment issues.
• Excellent communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and physically able to lift 40–60 lbs.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions; requires safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance and repairs on pools/spas and related equipment.
• Conduct water chemistry analyses and balance chemicals.
• Inspect and troubleshoot pumps, filters, heaters, controllers; perform repairs or replacements.
• Deliver pool chemicals and supplies as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Coordinate repair projects and manage schedules.
• Clean and vacuum pools and filters; maintain service reports and inventory.
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards for pools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
