Job summary

Serenity Aquarium & Aviary Services is seeking a part-time individual to service aquariums and aviaries primarily in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The position involves 2 hours monthly for aquarium servicing and 20-30 hours every three months for aviary work, with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and preferably some experience with animal care. Flexibility in scheduling and excellent communication skills are essential.

Job Summary

This role primarily involves servicing aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. It is an entry‑level, part‑time position requiring basic knowledge of hand tools, assembly, heavy lifting, bending, and other physical demands. Typical hours are 8 am‑7 pm, with flexibility. The current schedule includes 2 hours monthly servicing an aquarium and 20‑30 hours every three months servicing aviaries.

Travel & Locations

Travel is required; the furthest account is Cody, WY, and other locations include Rapid City, SD; Sheridan, WY; Lovell, WY; Cody, WY; Gillette, WY. Mileage reimbursement is provided while driving; hourly wage is not paid during driving.

Requirements

• High school education preferred; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license required.
• Experience with fish or bird keeping preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy items and maneuver 50‑lb bags of bedding and seed, plus 4‑5 27‑gallon totes of supplies.
• Willingness to travel within service area radius.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and good attendance.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a service cycle.
• Comfortable with health‑and‑hygiene requirements (masking/goggles) in long‑term care settings.
