Job summary

ADAM'S SPECIALTY PRODUCTS, LLC is seeking an entry-level part-time technician to service aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The role requires basic hand-tool knowledge, heavy lifting, and the ability to follow instructions.

Working hours are flexible within business hours (8am–7pm). Travel is required to areas in WY and SD; mileage is reimbursed. Pay starts at $25.00 per hour, and safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in fish keeping and/or bird keeping preferred.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to field work.
• Must be able to follow instructions and read English.

Responsibilities

• Service aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
• Prioritize and manage multiple service tasks efficiently.
• Communicate with customers and schedule service visits.
• Handle heavy lifting and physical requirements of the job.
• Maintain professional appearance and safe practices on site.

Our customers look to us to create a very serene and engaging environment for their residents/customers to enjoy. This particular role will primarily be servicing of aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted livings facilities. This is an entry level position that requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly. heavy lifting, bending, and many physical demands are involved in the position. This is a part-time position. Work is typically done during business hours of 8am to 7pm but is flexible.

Work Hours

Hours are currently 2 hours every month servicing an Aquarium (done during business hours). 20-30 hours every 3 months servicing aviaries.

Travel

• Travel is required. Currently the furthest account is Cody, WY, then Lovell, WY.

Current rep has been doing all of the aviaries in a 3 day trip traveling Wyoming and staying in a hotel paid for by the company.

(Mileage reimbursement is paid while driving. Hourly Wage is not paid during driving)

Safety

• Due to work being performed in long term care homes, masking/goggles may be required.

Storing 50# bags of bedding and seed along with 4-5 27 gallon totes of supplies will be required for the job.

Required education, skills, abilities, and experience

• Experience in fish keeping and or bird keeping preferred

• Ability to successfully communicate and contribute in a team oriented environment.
• Must have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions and to read and write in English.
• Preference given to candidates with mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to be flexible with schedule and job responsibilities.
• Able to travel in your service area radius
• Heavy lifting and maneuvering is required.
• Flexibility is a must!
• High School education is preferred.
• Driver’s License required
