Job summary

Serenity Aquarium & Aviary Services in Casper, Wyoming is seeking an entry-level part-time technician to service aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This role requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly, with heavy lifting and other physical demands.

Hours are 8–16 per month on a flexible day shift, with travel within a 200-mile radius. Mileage reimbursement is provided; pay is from $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Experience with fish or bird keeping is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to read and follow instructions; good attendance.
• Must be physically capable of heavy lifting and long periods of standing.

Our customers look to us to create a very serene and engaging environment for their residents/customers to enjoy. This particular role will primarily be servicing of aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted livings facilities. This is an entry level position that requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly. heavy lifting, bending, and many physical demands are involved in the position. This is a part-time position. Work is typically done during business hours of 8am to 7pm but is flexible. Hours will vary from month to month but will average around 8-16 hours a month, factoring in drive time. Could be more depending upon willingness to travel.
*This area is currently only Aviaries.

*Travel in a 200 mile radius of Casper, WY will be required. (Mileage reimbursement is paid while driving. Hourly Wage is not paid during driving)

*Due to work being performed in long term care homes, masking/goggles may be required.

Storing 50# bags of bedding and seed along with 2-3 27 gallon totes of supplies will be required for the job.

• Experience in fish keeping and or bird keeping preferred

• Must have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions and to read and write in English.
• Preference given to candidates with mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to be flexible with schedule and job responsibilities.
• Able to travel in your service area radius
• Heavy lifting and maneuvering is required.
• Flexibility is a must!
• High School education is preferred.
