Job summary

Pentair is seeking an APQP Engineer for its Apex, NC team to drive quality planning and product launches. You will lead DMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan activities, coordinate cross-functional testing, and ensure voice of the customer is reflected in design and process improvements; travel up to 30% is required.

You will apply DOE, poka-yoke, and visual management to improve product quality and align with segment objectives; engage in DFA/DFM reviews and ensure PPAP readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or 7 years QE-related experience.
• CQE experience and knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving using statistics; data-driven decisions.
• Analytical, prioritization, delegation, and multitasking skills.
• Effective change management; influencing, communication, stakeholder management.
• Supplier validation and qualification experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience including part and product validation.
• Automotive Quality Systems experience (AIAG PPAP and FMEA) a plus.
• Knowledge of GD&T and Minitab a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Advance Quality Planning and monitor execution.
• Gather and coordinate testing of quality-related tasks for new product launches and major product updates.
• Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional development teams and track testing adherence.
• Travel up to 30%.
• Drive customer focus by representing voice of customer and taking actions to achieve satisfaction.
• Engage in DFA/DFM reviews and lead APQP activities (DMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan).
• Apply lessons learned to prevent recurrence and report risks to Leadership.
• Apply DOE, poke-yoke, visual management to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Participate in product and process planning, gage design, and service development.
