Job summary

ShopRite is seeking an Appy/Deli Manager for the Garafalo CT location to direct all functions of the Appy/Deli Department and its Associates, aiming for sales, profit, and top-tier customer experience. You will lead onboarding, training, and daily operations under the guidance of the General Store Manager.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced grocery environment with safety and efficiency as priorities.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English clearly and accurately.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh/dried/processed foods and allergens.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust.
• Ability to climb ladders to access overhead storage.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Ability to lead and engage Associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Appy/Deli Department and its Associates to meet sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement goals.
• Provide training and development feedback to Associates and onboard new staff.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance within the department.
• Lead Customer Experience initiatives, ensure friendly service and product presentation.
• Assist in staffing and scheduling to meet projected sales needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Management.
