Job summary

ShopRite of Stratford is seeking an Appy/Deli Manager to oversee the department, drive sales and a top-tier customer experience, and lead associates to achieve department goals. The role requires strong leadership, safety compliance, and hands-on supervision in a fast-paced retail deli environment.

Successful candidates will manage daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure consistent quality and service across shifts, while upholding ShopRite's service priorities and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math and computer functions.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and processed products and maintain safety.
• Ability to engage and lead associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Appy/Deli department functions and staff.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals in sales and customer experience.
• Promote safety, cleanliness, and quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate pricing, inventory, and records for the department.
• Onboard and train new department staff and provide ongoing coaching.
