Job summary

ShopRite of Waretown is seeking an Appy/Deli Manager to direct all functions of the Appy/Deli Department and its associates, driving sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement under the guidance of the General Store Manager.

The ideal candidate will oversee safety, food handling, training, and employee performance, ensuring department goals are met while maintaining friendly customer service and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• English proficiency: read, write, speak, analyze and interpret English.
• Basic math ability.
• Ability to stand/walk for shifts.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and manage temperature changes.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to work with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Appy/Deli Department.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, proper food handling, and compliance with regulations.
• Provide training and feedback to department associates.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals and deliver strong customer experience.
• Maintain product presentation, pricing, and stock levels.
• Engage with customers and promote promotions and services.
